Zou and Lou Comics

Since 2018, Zou and Lou has captured the essence of NYC's alternative youth culture through comics and original artwork—blending absurdist humor, wordplay, and the quirks of the millennial urban mindset.

A collaboration between Jacques (aka Zou, text) and myself (aka Lou, illustration)—our work has been featured in journals such as Mudfish and zines like No Issue, and exhibited at galleries including Wynwood Arts 29 in Miami, Long Story Short on the Lower East Side, and Hey Check This Out Gallery on the Bowery. We've partnered with brands like the feminist activist platform Pussyweed, created illustrations for iconic NYC spots like House of Yes, and have work and merch available at Lagoon, a sustainable fashion and gallery space in Brooklyn.
