Pavement Prowlers

This ongoing series, most drawn from my own photographs, captures urban fauna and flora on the pavement—an exploration of asphalt and cement, mostly in downtown New York.

The fallen flower on LaGuardia Place, a rat carcass on Mott Street, and conjoined firebugs from Berlin, Germany, are featured in Odd Birds & Fat Cats (An Urban Bestiary), with text by Peter Wortsman, published by Turtle Point Press (see more about the book here).
